The Lady Dawgs moved to 3-3 on the year with its most recent loss in the 4th Region All “A” Classic championship game to Metcalfe County, 43-38.
On the road to the finals, Clinton County picked up a huge win against Monroe County in the semi-finals, 36-26.

The finals of the 4th Region All “A” Classic were held at Metcalfe County Saturday night.
Clinton County drew first blood with a basket by Landree Moons and a field goal by Braylee Mann, 4-0.
Metcalfe County answered with a three pointer to cut the lead to one, but another basket by Moons put the Lady Dawgs up by three points at the 4:14 mark, 6-3.
Metcalfe County cut the lead to two on a free throw, but a basket by Mann put Clinton County up by four, 8-4, with 2:32 on the clock.
Metcalfe County then finished out the quarter with a 10-0 run for a 14-8 lead to start the second quarter.
The Lady Dawgs struggled in the second quarter and found it difficult to add points to the board.
Aysha Sutton hit two foul shots at the beginning of the quarter and Moons hit a field goal at the 6:31 mark, and that was all the scoring for the Lady Dawgs in the second quarter.
Metcalfe County managed to put up seven points to take a halftime lead of, 21-12.
During the second half, Clinton County managed to cut the lead to five points midway through, 25-20, but a 5-0 run put the Lady Hornets up by double digits, 30-20.
Clinton County’s Mann put the Dawgs within six points, 30-24, but two free throws by Metcalfe County put the Lady Hornets up by eight points, 32-24, with 1:34 on the clock.
The Lady Dawgs finished the quarter with a field goal that would start an 8-0 run to tie the game in the fourth quarter, 32-32.
At the 4:49 mark, Metcalfe County hit a three pointer, but a basket by Mann cut the lead to one, 35-34.
The one possession game went to a two possession game after Metcalfe County reached a four point lead, 40-36, with 3:20 on the clock.
With a more than two minutes scoring drought from both teams, Metcalfe County hit two free throws to reach a six point lead, 42-36.
With 24 seconds remaining, Mann hit a field goal to get to within four points, 42-36, but that was all Clinton County could put up as Metcalfe County hit one last free throw in the closing seconds to take the 43-38 win.

The Lady Dawgs came out Thursday, January 21, and took Monroe County completely out of its game.
With 3:10 on the clock in the first quarter, Clinton County had managed to reach a 13-1 lead, shutting down Monroe County’s offense.
By the end of the first quarter, the Lady Dawgs held on to a 15-6 lead.
Clinton County continued holding on defense, but Monroe County cut the lead to seven points at the beginning of the second quarter from the foul line, 15-8.
Sara Turner put the Lady Dawgs up by 10 with a three pointer, 18-8.
Monroe County added two more free throws and two field goals to cut the lead to four points with 3:35 on the clock, 18-14.
Both teams traded out free throws, followed by a basket from Sutton at the 1:30 mark and a field goal by Mann with 55 seconds to go to put the Lady Dawgs up by five at the half, 23-18.
The third quarter saw both teams struggle from the floor as Monroe County only added four points to the board. Clinton County managed to put up six to stay in control of the game, 29-22, at the end of the third.
More than three minutes went by in the fourth quarter before Mann made a steal and a layup for the first points of the period, 31-22.
Clinton County managed to maintain its composure and use the clock wisely, holding Monroe County to only four points for the entire period.
When the final buzzer sounded, Clinton County had held Monroe County to 26 points for the game while putting up 36 for the 10 point win.

The Lady Dawgs will be back in action this week with a home game on Tuesday (too late for press deadline) against Logan County, a home double-header against Metcalfe County on Thursday, one game against Pineville in the Robbie Davis Classic on Saturday at 2:30, and a home double header against Pickett County on Sunday at 1:30.
