A Clinton County man has died as the result of injuries he sustained in a single vehicle accident last week.

Joshua Sparks, 44, of the Lee’s Chapel Community, passed away at The Med Center at Albany, according to the Clinton County Sheriff’s Department.

According to a press release from the Clinton County Sheriff’s Department, Sparks was operating a 2003 Chevrolet Malibu east on Kentucky 90 when it ran off the left side of the highway, struck a rock embankment and overturned before coming to final rest.

The accident occurred at about 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 3, 2021, six miles east of Albany.

The accident is being investigated by Clinton County Sheriff Jeff Vincent, who was assisted at the scene by deputy Chris McGuffin, the Albany Fire Department and the Clinton County EMS.
