Ned Jay Rhoades, 69, of Elizabethtown, passed away Tuesday, March 9, 2021, at his home.

He was a native of Albany, Kentucky, served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, and was a food service director.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Earnest and Emma Brown Rhoades.

He is survived by his wife of over 40 years, Gail Collins Rhoades; four children, Helen Elaine Rhoades and Donny Joseph (Marissa) Rhoades, all of North Carolina, Sylvia Sue Rhoades of Elizabethtown, and Michael J. (Stephanie) Rhoades of Radcliff; three brothers, James Brown, Artie Rhoades, and Arnold Rhoades; sister, Alma Pauley; and numerous grandchildren.

A private service will be held at a later date.
