Local and state law enforcement officials continue to be fully involved in the war against drugs in and around Albany and Clinton County and, during the past week, have reported making additional arrests.
One of those arrests also included additional charges that involved resisting arrest when officers were injured during the incident.
Authorities report that John G. Diamond, 30, of Albany, was arrested on March 26 and charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence 1st degree (aggravated circumstances), disorderly conduct, criminal mischief 1st degree, resisting arrest, attempting to disarm a peace officer, assault 3rd degree on a police officer (three counts).
Diamond was arrested by Officer Rodney Shelton of Albany Police Department and was assisted by Officer Brad Cross, Officer David Bookout, and Officer Rick Riddle.
Diamond was lodged in the Clinton County Jail.
On March 26, Micheal Bowhart, 39, of Albany, was arrested and charged with possession of controlled substance 1st degree, 1st offense (meth), possession of drug paraphernalia, criminal trespassing-3rd degree.
Bowhart was arrested by Sheriff Jeff Vincent and also had a probation violation warrant out of Tennessee.
Bowhart was lodged in the Clinton County Jail.
On March 24, Kentucky State Police Trooper Billy Begley arrested Rosella Stearns, 25, of Albany.
Stearns was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, trafficking in a controlled substance 1st degree, 1st offense (drug unspecified).
Stearns was lodged in the Clinton County Jail.
On March 24, Trooper Begley arrested Ella Stearns, 55, of Somerset, Kentucky.
Stearns was charged with possession of a controlled substance 1st degree, 1st Offense (meth), possession of drug paraphernalia.
Stearns was lodge in the Clinton County Jail.
