Wayne County Sheriff Tim Catron has reported the following arrest activity during the past week:
T. J. P. Gregory, of Monticello, Ky., was arrested for alcohol intoxication in a public place, criminal mischief-3rd degree, criminal mischief-2nd degree, resisting arrest and assault-3rd degree (on [olice officer).
Jacob Kidd, of Monticello, Ky., was arrested for disorderly conduct-2nd degree.
Jason Casada, of Monticello, Ky., was arrested for being a fugitive from another state (Tn.) on the charges of vehicular homicide, reckless aggravated assault, reckless endangerment and for traffic violations.
Chelsay J. Andrew, of Columbia, Ky., was arrested on a Russell County District Court Warrant of Arrest for failure to pay child support.
Gregory, Kidd, Casada and Andrew were lodged in the Wayne County Detention Center.
Yolanda Arnett, of Somerset, Ky., was arrested for public intoxication-controlled substance (excludes alcohol).
Troy Nicholas, of Science Hill, Ky., was arrested on a Kentucky Justice and Public Safety Cabinet Escape Warrant of Arrest. Nicholas was also arrested on a Pulaski County Circuit Court Warrant of Arrest for failure to appear.
Joseph K. Fulton, of Monticello, Ky., was arrested on a Wayne County District Court Warrant of Arrest for failure to appear for arraignment on the underlying charge of assault-4th degree (domestic violence).
Arnett, Nicholas and Fulton were lodged in the Wayne County Detention Center.
In other law enforcement action, Sheriff Catron reports the following.
Tabitha Henson, of Monticello, Ky., was served with a Wayne County District Court Criminal Complaint Summons for harboring a vicious animal. Henson was issued a Wayne County District Court date to appear.
According to Wayne County Sheriff Tim Catron, his offices continuing investigations into the illegal sale of narcotics has led to the arrest of a Louisville, Ky. man on drug trafficking and firearm charges.
During an investigation by deputy Derek Dennis, he obtained information about a drug shipment coming into Wayne County by the Louisville man. Dennis’ investigation revealed that the man should be considered armed, dangerous and was a convicted felon with several firearm and drug charges.
On April 9, 2021 at 12:47 a.m. deputies Dennis, Jerry Coffey and Brad Tucker observed a motorcycle speeding while using radar on Kentucky Highway 90. The motorcycle was believed to be ridden by the suspect.
The deputies conducted a felony traffic stop on the motorcycle once it came to a stop on Kentucky Highway 1568.
During a weapon pat down search of the suspect, a 9 mm handgun was found in his waistband. The suspect admitted to being a convicted felon and at that point he was placed under arrest. The suspect gave permission to search his motorcycle.
This search resulted in several baggies of methamphetamine weighing approximately 443.5 grams, three hydrocodone tablets, several glass pipes, new plastic baggies with a digital scale consistent with illegal drug sales, .223 ammunition and $10,909.00 in cash. All items were seized including the motorcycle.
Deputy Dennis charged and arrested Chad P. Bailey, of Louisville, Ky., for speeding, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, trafficking in a controlled substance-1st degree (greater than or equal to two grams of methamphetamine) and for possession of a controlled substance-1st degree (drug unspecified).
The investigation is continuing with pending charges.
Bailey was lodged in the Wayne County Detention Center.
In other law enforcement action, Jason Casada, of Albany, Ky. was arrested on a Wayne County District Court Complaint Warrant of Arrest for being a fugitive from another state.
Casada remained lodged in the Wayne County Detention Center.
Brandy K. Denney, of Monticello, Ky., was arrested for possession of a controlled substance-1st degree (methamphetamine), possession of drug paraphernalia and for traffic violations.
Sherwin D. Corder, of Monticello, Ky., was arrested for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, careless driving and for traffic violations.
Anthony S. Phillips, of Monticello, Ky., was arrested on a Wayne County Circuit Court Warrant of Arrest for Drug Court Violation on the underlying charges of two counts of burglary-3rd degree and stalking-2nd degree.
Jessica J. McDaniel, of Somerset, Ky., was arrested on a Pulaski County District Court Complaint Warrant of Arrest for trafficking in a controlled substance-2nd degree (less than 20 drugs unspecified).
Denney, Corder, Phillips and McDaniel were lodged in the Wayne County Detention Center.
According to Wayne County Sheriff Tim Catron a search warrant for illegal narcotics led to the recovery of a stolen handgun.
Deputies with the Sheriff’s office obtained information about the sale of illegal narcotics.
The deputies then obtained a search warrant for a residence on Bell Lane. At 11:21 pm on April 10, 2021 Deputies James Barnett, Jerry Coffey, Jerry Meadows, Derek Dennis and Allen Cash executed the search warrant at the residence. During the search, only a small amount of illegal narcotics were found on the suspect’s body. However, a stolen 9mm handgun was recovered. The handgun was reported stolen from a vehicle in Wayne County approximately two weeks ago that was being investigated by the Sheriff’s Office.
The deputies charged and arrested Jayden Dennis, of Monticello, Ky., for theft by unlawful taking or disposition-firearm and for possession of a controlled substance-1st degree (methamphetamine).
Dennis was also arrested on two Wayne County Circuit and two Wayne County District Court Warrants of Arrest for defendant left rehab, failure to appear for a motion hour on the underlying charges of bail jumping-1st degree, two counts of possession of a controlled substance-1st degree (methamphetamine), tampering with physical evidence, assault-4th degree and for two counts of Contempt of Court.
Dennis was lodged in the Wayne County Detention Center.
Dustin Smith, of Monticello, Ky., was arrested for careless driving and for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol.
Josh D. Denney, of Monticello, Ky., was arrested on a Wayne County Circuit Court Warrant of Arrest for probation violation on the underlying charges of trafficking in a controlled substance-1st degree (less than 10 drugs unspecified) and for trafficking in a controlled substance within 1,000 feet of a school.
Justice S. Stamper, of Monticello, Ky., was arrested on an Adair County Circuit Court Warrant of Arrest for failure to appear on the underlying charges of possession of a controlled substance-1st degree (methamphetamine) and for possession of drug paraphernalia.
Smith, Denney and Stamper were lodged in the Wayne County Detention Center.
Following up on information from a drug tip, deputy James Barnett with the Sheriff’s Office obtained a search warrant for a residence on College Street.
Multiple units with the Sheriff’s Office executed the search warrant at approximately 2:30 am on April 12, 2021. The search warrant led to the recovery of a small amount of methamphetamine, digital scales, multiple clear plastic baggies consistent with the sale of illegal narcotics, items consistent with illegal drug use and $1,266.00 in cash.
Deputy Barnett charged and arrested Rachel Pitcock, of Monticello, Ky., for trafficking in a controlled substance-1st degree (less than two grams of methamphetamine and for possession of drug paraphernalia.
Pitcock was lodged in the Wayne County Detention Center.
Adam Crabtree, of Monticello, Ky., was arrested on a Wayne County Circuit Court Warrant of Arrest for Drug Court Violation on the underlying charges of burglary-3rd degree, theft by unlawful taking or disposition, unlawful transaction with a minor-2nd degree, criminal mischief-2nd degree and three counts of non-payment of fines.
Edward Brooks of Monticello, Ky. was arrested on a Wayne County District Court Warrant of Arrest for violation of Bond Condition on the underlying charge of possession of a controlled substance-1st degree (methamphetamine).
Crabtree and Brooks were lodged in the Wayne County Detention Center.
Troy McGuire, of Monticello, Ky., was arrested for driving on a driving under the influence suspended operator’s license and for failure to have license in possession.
McGuire was also arrested on a Wayne County Circuit Court and a Wayne County District Court Warrants of Arrest for failure to appear for two show cause hearings on the underlying charge of flagrant non-support and for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol.
Joshua R. Catron, of Monticello, Ky., was arrested on a Pulaski County Circuit Court warrant of arrest for violation of bond conditions on the underlying charges of two counts of trafficking in a controlled substance-1st degree (less than two grams of methamphetamine.
McGuire and Catron were lodged in the Wayne County Detention Center.
