Dawgs drop All ‘A’ quarter final game, but nice job

A road trip to Owensboro for a quarter-final game in the All “A” Classic State tournament on Saturday saw our Bat Dawgs taking on the champions of the 3rd Region, the Owensboro Catholic Aces.

Things didn’t work out for our Bat Dawgs the way Coach Jared Bertram and crew would have preferred, with the Aces coming away with an 11-1 victory.

Owensboro will advance now to the semi-final round of the All “A” Classic State Tournament, and the Bat Dawgs returned home.

Despite the loss, the Dawgs are certainly to be congratulated after playing in the Sweet 16 that followed the first ever- 4th Region title capture in the All “A” Classic.

Congrats again Bat Dawgs – and there’s still a lot action ahead for fans of our baseball, softball and tennis teams.

Get out to the C.C.H.S. sports complex and take in some of the action – these Dawgs deserve our support for their efforts.
