The Albany Youth League held its annual parade through town Friday afternoon after having one cancellation already this season. It couldn’t have worked out any better, according to Youth League President Chris Marlow.
“This year’s youth league parade was a tremendous success! The community support was evident with the turnout of people packing the sides of 127 along the parade route,” Marlow said. “The pure excitement that the players displayed while chanting their team’s name and the coaches/parents decorating the vehicles makes the planning and stress well worth the outcome. Now it’s time to play ball!”
The parade kicks off the season with several age groups ready to hit the fields. Games will run Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday for the next couple of months.
