It was May 2019 when the last National Day of Prayer event was held in Clinton County, as COVID-19 shut down the event last year.

This year, Clinton County Judge/Executive Ricky Craig took it upon himself to revive the event, which was held last Thursday on the South East side of the courthouse.

Craig opened the event with a few words then turned it over to Bro. Jim England, left, who led the small group into prayer.

Also in attendance was Bro. Marcus Williams, who is also the principal at the Gospel Christian Academy, and the entire student body, shown above. The student body sang a couple of songs to the crowd before a prayer was said for all pastors and leaders of Clinton and other counties, as well as leaders of our nation.
