Clinton Fiscal Court held a special meeting last Thursday morning, May 13, with three items of business on the agenda for the short meeting.

The court approved two resolutions seeking DLG utility funding, possible FEMA funding and approved cash transfers.

The court approved a resolution authorizing Clinton County Judge/Executive Ricky Craig to file an application to be submitted to the Kentucky Department for local Government (DLG) for funding under the Community Development Block Grant (DDBG) Program.

The funding, if received, is being administered through the Lake Cumberland Area Development District (LCADD) and used for infrastructure such as utilities.

Albany City Council recently applied for a grant under the same program earlier this month.

Court members also approved a resolution to apply for funding through FEMA, also in an unspecified amount, which, if received, would help reimburse the county for equipment, labor and other costs associated with the damaging ice storms that occurred in the county from mid to late February.

The only other item of business was the approval of three cash transfers, all on separate motions.

All three transfers were from the Occupational Fund, including $15,000 each to the Jail and General Fund and $5,000 to the EMS Fund.

The next regular meeting of Clinton Fiscal Court will be held this Thursday, May 20, in the downstairs courtroom of the courthouse and is open to the public.
