Clinton County High School will see some 114 students end their high school careers as they graduate and receive diplomas during the school’s 104th Commencement Program on the CCHS football field Friday night, May 28.
Despite a hard, unusual year for many due to the COVID-19 pandemic, those Class of 2021 Seniors will embark on future hopes and dreams and become Clinton County High School alumni.
Commencement ceremonies will begin at 7 p.m., starting with the processional by the Clinton County High School Band and the presentation of colors by the JROTC Senior Color Guard.
Hailey Cole will then present a musical performance, followed by opening remarks by CCHS Principal Kenny Dearborn. That will be followed by another musical selection by the CCHS Band.
The Class History will then be given by Class President Autumn McCutchen, followed by another musical performance by Sydnee Albertson and Cody York. The Academic Address will be given by the Top Academic Honoree.
Then will come the moment students have waited for, the awarding of diplomas by Dr. Tim Parson, Superintendent. The Tassel Ceremony will follow by Class Officers and the program with end with the recessional by the Clinton County High School Band.
Some CCHS graduates will receive various scholarships from four different entities. They include seven related business scholarships; eight college and university scholarships; two memorial scholarships; and eight organizations or individual awards.
