Melissa Stearns McLenon, DNP, ACNP, is spending this week as a volunteer at the 121st Professional Golf Association U.S. Open Championship at Torrey Pines golf course in San Diego, California.

McLenon, who is the daughter of Steve and Connie Stearns, of Albany, is a volunteer at the tournament going on this week. She works at the University of California, San Diego, with the Heart Transplant team at that facility.
McLenon will serve as one of the Marshals on the 14th hole during the tournament.
