Sallie R. Thrasher, 86, Smiths Chapel Rd., Albany, passed away Friday, December 9, 2011 at Livingston Regional Hospital. She was a member of Smiths Chapel United Methodist Church, wife of the late Edwin Thrasher, daughter of the late Herb and Vocal Pierce, and was also preceded in death by a sister, Ozell Huffman, and a brother, Jimmy Pierce.

She is survived by a daughter, Peggy Stearns, Albany; one granddaughter, MariAnne Rains and two great-grandsons, Elijah and Ethan Rains.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, December 13, 2011 at Talbott Funeral Home with Bro. Donnie Shelley officiating. Final resting place in Memorial Hill Cemetery. Arrangements made through Talbott Funeral Home of Albany.
