, 61, of Burkesville, Kentucky, passed away Monday, September 27, 2021 at her residence in Burkesville.

She was born in Glasgow, Kentucky, the daughter of Otis Odel and Ella Mae Murray Sherer. She was a CNA for Cumberland Valley Manor.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Johnny Elmer Sherer; uncle, Roy Ragel, and aunt, Nora Kathleen York.

She is survived by her husband, Wayne Thurman of Burkesville, Kentucky; brothers, Randy (Sharon) Sherer of Plainfield, Indiana, Russell Sherer (Patty Monday) of Glasgow, Kentucky; nieces, Tabitha Lee Ann Sherer and Sara Thurman, both of Glasgow, Kentucky, and nephew, Nicholas Sherer of Plainfield, Indiana.

The funeral service was conducted on Saturday, October 2, 2021, at 11:00 a.m. in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home with Bro. Nickie Richards officiating. Burial followed in the Liberty Cemetery in Cumberland County, Kentucky.
