Veronica Jenelle Oliver, 57, of Burkesville, Kentucky, passed away Wednesday, September 29, 2021, at the Cumberland County Hospital in Burkesville, Kentucky.

She was born in East Peoria, Illinois, the daughter of M. V. and Mary Hopkins Gibson. She was of Baptist faith, a member of Burkesville Separate Baptist Church, and a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Granville and Juanita Hopkins, aunt, Ina Mercer, and her uncle, Phillip Hopkins.

She is survived by her parents, M.V. and Mary Gibson of Burkesville, Kentucky; her brother, James (Sylvia) Vincent of Georgetown, Kentucky; her step-sister, Shelia Witherspoon of Albany, Kentucky; and her aunt, Bertha Conner of Albany, Kentucky.

The funeral service was conducted on Saturday, October 2, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home with Bro. Gary Cash officiating. Burial followed in the Grider Hill Cemetery in Clinton County, Kentucky.
