, 70, of Albany, Kentucky, passed away on Saturday, October 2, 2021 at The Medical Center in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

He was born in Albany, Kentucky, the son of Ruben and Ostie Kennedy Smith. He was of the Pentecostal faith, and a sawmill hand for Static Lumber.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Johnny Earl Smith; siblings, Dee Smith, Lonzo Smith, Elgie Barnes, Ricky Smith; granddaughter, Chelsea Barnes.

He is survived by his children, Sherry (Jeff) Cooper, Miranda Angel, both of Albany, Kentucky; siblings, Ora Lee Stearns of Albany, Kentucky, Georgia Reynolds of Byrdstown, Tennessee, Connie Duvall, Teresa Scroggins, Tony Smith, all of Albany, Kentucky; grandchildren, James (Tisha) Barnes, Johnny (Kyra) Barnes, Grayson Angel, Marley Angel, Rumor Myers, Willa Jackson; great-grandchildren, Blakelynn, Miley, Addy, Raylen; special friends, Linda Smith, Tammy Angel, along with a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.

The funeral service was conducted on Friday, October 8, 2021, at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Campbell-New Funeral Home in Albany with Bro. Jack Duvall officiating. Burial followed in the Fairview Cemetery in Wayne County, Kentucky.

Campbell-New Funeral Home in Albany was in charge of the arrangements.
