Holiday season is upon us – believe it or not
Gee, how time flies when we’re having fun.
Hard to believe that while we didn’t think the 2021-22 basketball season would ever get here, we’re already not only into the meat and potatoes (district competition) portion of the schedule, it’s holiday tournament time already.
Clinton County’s Bulldogs will play host to its prestigious Twin Lakes Holiday Classic Tournament beginning on Monday of next week, December 20, and continuing through Wednesday, December 22.
Our Lady Dawgs will be traveling to the Greenwood Holiday Tournament in Bowling Green for a four-game event Tuesday and Wednesday of next week, December 21-22.
Clinton County’s Twin Lakes Classic will once again bring some top basketball teams from Kentucky and Tennessee into Albany for the series of games across three days and nights in the Lindle Castle gymnasium.
In addition to Clinton County’s games in the Twin Lakes lineup, there are going to be some terrific match-ups on the floor and fans are certain to be in for some nice basketball action.
Included in this week’s sports are complete tournament schedules for both Twin Lakes Classic and the Greenwood event.
First COVID hiccup of the season
Clinton County had its first COVID hiccup of this basketball season this week when the Lady Bulldogs were forced to postpone a matchup with Cumberland County this Tuesday night.
Athletic Director Mike Beard tells me he is trying to work out a date with Cumberland County to have the game made up sometime in January.
Stay tuned for more on that reschedule and any other date changes that might come along.
