, 62, of Panama City, Florida, formerly of Conyers, Georgia, passed away Monday, August 22, 2022, at the Emory Saint Joseph’s Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia.

He was born in Orange County, California, the son of Walter Ralph and Dolly Rolene Hurt Davis. He was of the Methodist faith, and an educator.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother, Donald Lee “Don” Davis.

He is survived by his mother, Dolly Rolene Hurt Davis of Morgantown, Kentucky; wife, Angela Sue Dossett “Angie” Davis of Panama City Beach, Florida; son, James Clayton “Clay” Davis., of Sewanee, Georgia.

The funeral service was conducted on Sunday, August 28, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home in Burkesville, Kentucky ,with Bro. Gary Hardin officiating,

Burial followed in the Grider Memorial Cemetery in Cumberland County, Kentucky. In lieu of flowers, donations are appreciated to the Grider Memorial Cemetery Fund or a charity of your choice in memory of Mr. Davis. Norris-New Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
