Timothy A, Cantrell, 79, of Lexington, Kentucky, and formerly of Albany, passed away Monday, August 22, 2022.
He was the son of the late Talmage and Viebie Catron Cantrell.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy, and his brother, Talmage.
He is survived by his wife, Diana Harris Cantrell; a son, Dwayne (Tessa Hines) Cantrell; a daughter, Shana (Jeremy) Klinefelter; two grandsons, Jonah and Silas Klinefelter; two brothers Roy and Donald Cantrell; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
He was a graduate of Clinton County High School and Western Kentucky University and served in the Army for 29 years, three years of active duty and 26 in the Army Reserves. He was a professor in the University of Kentucky community college system. He was a member of the Lions Club and the American Legion.
He was cremated and a memorial service will be held at Camp Nelson National Cemetery on Friday, September 2, 2022, at 2:30 pm. A celebration of life and meal will be served immediately following the service, location to be announced.. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Timothy A.
