To the Editor,

Dear editor and anyone interested and family.

My husband, Arnold Denney, son of the late Roy and Ruthey Denney, has lung cancer but has done really good according to his doctors and nurses. He’s had 32 doses of chemotherapy and radiation since August. He’s had very good luck. The medicine never made him sick and so far, today, December 23, was his last treatment.

He’s still not out of the woods. He’s weak and depressed. As you know, the weather hasn’t been great. Also, we lost our youngest son, Brad, August 26 and he lost his sister Mary (to lung cancer.)

It hurts to see him so depressed and I was hoping his friends and family down there would surprise him and send him cards. Maybe it would cheer him up and it bothers him because he can’t go to Albany and visit his friends and our son’s grave. But I’d like to give him hope and bring his spirits up.

Thank you if you can print this for me. We miss Albany. We both grew up there and the memory of our son still is fresh and it’s hard on both of us. Thank you so much and hope everyone has a nice holiday too. (His wife, Brenda Denney. He’ll be 80 years old January 22.)
