Mable A. Thurman

Mable A. Thurman, 90, Hogback Rd., Albany, passed away Thursday, December 29, 2011 at her residence. She was the wife of the late Imon Thurman and a member of Hogback Community Church. She was also preceded in death by a son, Hack Thurman; four sisters, Elvie Boils, Zelma McGill, Lucille Stearns and Wilma Melton; two brothers, Bill and Bouge Riddle; also two grandchildren and a son-in-law, Bill Harris.

She is survived by five daughters, Anna (Ronnie) Thrasher, Colene Powell, Peggy (Ronnie) Denney, all of Albany; Patsy Harris, Bow, KY; Phyllis (Charles) Smith, Portland, TN; four sons, Shelby (Betty) Thurman, Park City, KY; James (Imadean) Thurman, Alfred (Ida) Thurman and Bobby (Teresa) Thurman, all of Albany; two sisters, Georgia Collins, Albany; Virginia Groce, Byrdstown, TN; a brother, John L. Riddle, Albany; also 38 grandchildren, 39 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Saturday, December 31, 2011 at Talbott Funeral Home with Bro. Christopher Thurman, Bro. Donnie Shelley and Sister Teresa Tarter officiating. Final resting place in Highway Cemetery. Arrangements made through Talbott Funeral Home of Albany.
