Workers from Mountain View Nursery spent most of Monday afternoon working on the home plate area of John Emmitt Polston Field. The reconstruction of the area was done in order to lay down artificial turf. The process of laying down the turf started with digging out around home plate and laying a thick layer of gravels to allow for better drainage.
