Richard Dale Staton, 80, N. Hwy. 127, Albany, passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2012 at his residence. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict and attended Fairview United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by a son, Roger Dale Staton and two brothers, James A. and Teddy Staton.

He is survived by his wife, Peggy Staton, Albany; a daughter and son-in-law, Eva Laine and Earnest Mann, Monticello, KY; two sons and daughters-in-law, David Dale and Cindy Staton, Hustonville, KY; William James “Bill” and Alicia Staton, Stanford, KY; a sister, Virginia DeRossett, Albany; seven grandchildren, Jason, Joseph, Patrick, Ginny, Jordon, Ryan and Tessa; also two great-grandchildren, Brody and Rylan.

Funeral services were held Saturday, January 7 at 1 p.m. at Talbott Funeral Home with Bro. Joe Summers and Bro. Ernest Mann officiating. Final resting place in Piercey Cemetery. Arrangements made through Talbott Funeral Home of Albany.
