Firemen were called to Judi’s Diner (formerly Gamaliel Restaurant) on Wednesday night, December 28 to a fire which was still under investigation on Tuesday, January 3, when KSP, insurance and arson investigators were on the scene.

According to a report by fire department member Erin Rich, the Gamaliel Fire Department was dispatched to the structure at 117 Main Street, Gamaliel, and upon arrival noticed flames already through the back of the building.

Fire departments from Monroe County Fire and Rescue and Flippin also assisted in battling the blaze with the building sustaining significant damage. At press time the cause of the blaze was still undetermined.
