A Clinton County woman was killed Sunday, June 4, 2023, as the result of a two vehicle automobile accident in Michigan.
Sarah Jo Mercer, 52, of Albany, Kentucky, was killed when the vehicle she was driving collided with a another vehicle at an intersection in Ingham County, Michigan.
According to an article in the Lansing (Michigan) State Journal by staff writer Ken Palmer, Mercer was driving on Howell Road and was struck by a vehicle heading south on M-52 about 6:30 a.m., the Ingham County Sheriff’s Office said. The driver of the southbound vehicle, a 35-year-old Grass Lake woman, had the right of way, investigators said.
Mercer was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident, according to the report, and the driver of the second vehicle, suffered serious, but non life-threatening injuries.
The crash remains under investigation, according to Ingham County, Michigan officials.
