James David Guffey, 78, of Albany, Kentucky, passed away Sunday, June 25, 2023, at the VA Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky.
He was the son of the late James and Lora Flowers Guffey, and was also preceded in death by one brother, Danny Guffey.
He was a veteran of the United States Army.
He is survived by his wife,  Ada Guffey; one  stepdaughter,  Melissa Carty; two sisters,  Barbara (Jessie) Tapp and Glenda Prater; one brother,  Bobby (Janelle) Guffey; two step-grandchildren,  Nathaniel Goodson and Anika Inman; three step-great-grandchildren:, Madeline Richmond, Makenlee Goodson and Peyton Oliver.
Services were held Thursday, June 29, 2023, at 11:00 a.m. at Talbott Funeral home with Bro. David Stearns officiating.  Burial followed in Peolia Cemetery with Military Honors.
Talbott Funeral Home of Albany, Kentucky, was in charge of arrangements.
