A Christmas wish comes true

A full house of fans were on hand last Friday, January 6 as the Clinton County Lady Bulldogs and Bulldogs played host to 16th District opponent Metcalfe County.

Included among those fans was one who had been absent from the C.C.H.S. Gymnasium for some time – Frances Sawyers, a Clinton Countian who is currently a resident of the Pickett County Care and Rehab Center in Byrdstown, Tennessee.

The patients at PCR were asked recently what they wanted for Christmas, and Frances’ reply was “I just want to watch my two grandkids play ball again.”

Frances’ wish came true through the efforts of PCR employee and stakeholder Valerie Lowhorn York, a former Lady Bulldog who is now a member of the PCR staff.

Frances is the grandmother of Bulldog senior guard Sawyer Stalcup and Lady Bulldog freshman guard Ansley Stalcup. They are the children of J.R. and Patricia Sawyer Stalcup.
