Golf Dawgs pick up win over Lakers 164-166
The Clinton County High School Golf Dawgs, playing at its home course on Dale Hollow Lake State Resort Park, picked up a hard fought victory over neighboring Russell County Monday afternoon.
Clinton County earned the “W” with a combined score of 164 while the Lakers finished the regular season district match with a team score of 166.
Clinton County’s Zach Poore led the way Monday for the Golf Dawgs with an impressive even-par round of 36, finishing the round with two birdies on his scorecard.
Golf Dawg Blaine Melton finished the match with a three-over par round 39, carding an eagle on one hole, as well as two birdies.
Finishing out scoring for the Golf Dawgs was Maddox Moons with a round of 44, followed by Walker Casada, who carded a 45 on Monday’s round.
The Golf Dawgs are coached by Macy Campbell Arms and assisted by Lou Latham.

CCHS Golf Dawg Zach Poore hit his second shot to approach the green on the ninth hole last Monday afternoon during the All ‘A” Classic Fourth Region Golf Tournament. Poore finished the round with a score of 44.
Poore finished this past Monday’s match against Russell County with the teams first ever par round of the season. Poore shot a 36 against Russell County and Clinton County won by two strokes, 164-166, at Dale Hollow.
