Leroy Davis, 83, New Castle, Indiana and a native of Albany, passed away Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was a member of First Apostolic Church, the son of the late James Robert and Ova (Massengale) Davis and was also preceded in death by his first wife, Della Davis, a sister, Geneva Irene Wright and three brothers, Ross, C.T. and Ira Davis.

He is survived by his wife, Anna Davis, New Castle, IN; two sons, Jerry Davis, Greenfield, IN; Lonnie Davis, Louisville, KY; three daughters, Barbara Groce and Lucille Williams, both of New Castle, IN; Wilma Mays, Louisville, KY; a step-son, Jimmy (Kathy) Tallent, Knightstown, IN; four step-daughters, Judy (Ronnie) Henemyre, Albany; Margaret (Roy) Moore, Carol Tallent and Cathy (David) Simpkins, all of New Castle, IN; two sisters, Irene Wright, New Castle, IN; Shirley (Raymond) Clevenger, Straughn, IN; four brothers, Hubert (Charlene) Davis, AR; Ralph Davis, Terre Haute, IN; Rev. Carl (Edith) Davis, Brazil, IN; Gene (Reva) Davis, AR; also eight grandchildren, 12 step-grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, four step-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Monday, January 23, 2012 at 11 a.m. at First Apostolic Church with final resting place in South Mound Cemetery West Lawn Additional. Arrangements were made through Hinsey-Brown Funeral Service of New Castle, Indiana.
