Alva Lee Flowers, 88, Garland, Texas and a native of Albany, passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2012. He was the son of the late Bryson and Gladys (Stockton) Flowers and a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, serving in World War II.

He is survived by two daughters, Sandra Bambico, Garland, TX; Susan (Bill) Shuart, Lincoln, NE; three brothers, Ken (Leta) Flowers, Albany; Carl (Virginia) Flowers, Owensboro, KY; and Dan Flowers, Albany; a granddaughter, Kristen (Ken) Morgan and two great-grandchildren, also several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 26, 2012 at 3:30 p.m. at Williams Memorial Chapel in Garland, Texas with final resting place in Dallas/Ft. Worth National Veterans Cemetery. Arrangements made through Williams Memorial Chapel of Garland, Texas.
