James Alvin Sexton, 60, of Monticello, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, January 18, 2024, at his residence.
He was born in Wayne County, Kentucky, the son of James Estill and Molly Jewell Hunley Sexton. He was a member of the First Church of God and worked for Sun Star.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Terry Lee Sexton.
He is survived by his wife, Geraldine Clark Sexton; daughter, LaDonna (Charles) Starnes of Paint Lick, Kentucky; siblings, Angela Sexton and Judy Stevens; grandson, Paul Michael Starnes, and special nephew and caregiver, Nathan Sexton, all of Monticello, Kentucky.
The funeral service was conducted on Friday, January 26, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. E.S.T. in the Memory Chapel of New’s Monticello Funeral Home, with Bro. Charles Starnes officiating. Burial followed in the Elk Springs Cemetery in Monticello, Kentucky.
New’s Monticello Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
