The Clinton County Bulldogs snapped a seven game winning streak Friday night against Barren County, 86-68, to move to 18-10 on the year.
The Dawgs did pick up one win this week and did so with authority, forcing a running clock against Russell County, 83-48.

The Clinton County Bulldogs traveled to Barren County Friday night to take on the Trojans in a game that started out being close.
In the first quarter Barren County got on the board first with a basket, but Jaxson Mason answered with a field goal of his own, 2-2.
Barren County then put together a 5-0 run to lead 7-2 inside the first minute of play.
The Dawgs slowly inched its way back and managed to take a one point lead at the 3:50 mark on two free throws by Cohen Davis, 13-12.
With less than a minute remaining in the quarter, Clinton County’s Mason hit a three pointer to grab a two point lead, 21-19, but Barren answered with a three point play to end the period up by one, 22-21.
During the second quarter, both teams were back and forth. Drew Davis grabbed the lead in the opening possession on a short floater, 23-22.
Barren County managed to take a three point lead at the 5:06 mark, 30-27, but Mason tied the game on a three pointer from the corner.
From that point, Barren County went on a 7-1 run for a six point lead, but Clinton County’s Nick Poore finished the quarter with a three pointer to cut that lead to three at the half, 37-34.
Barren County began to pull away in the third quarter, reaching a 10 point lead under the four minute mark, 52-42.
By the end of the third, Barren County remained in control with a seven point lead, 57-50.
Clinton County did battle in the fourth quarter, but would only get as close as five points, 68-63, with three minutes to play.
Both teams lived at the foul line in the final three minutes, but it was Barren County holding on to the win, 86-68.
During the Barren County game, Cohen Davis scored his 1,000th career point as a Bulldog.

In a turn of the tide, Clinton County not only managed to defeat Russell County at home after losing to the Lakers earlier in the season, 76-68, but the Dawgs managed to obtain a running clock in the fourth quarter, which signifies a 35 point lead, in order to avenge the loss, 83-48.
The Dawgs came out Wednesday night to take on the Lakers of Russell County to finish up regular season district competition.
Clinton County came out on a mission and jumped out to a 9-3 lead and finished the quarter up 12-5.
In the second quarter, Clinton County continued to roll, putting together a 15-3 run for a 27-8 lead.
The Dawgs finished the quarter putting up 11 more points and leading the Lakers at the half, 38-23.
The third quarter went much the same way for the Dawgs as Clinton County outscored the Lakers 24-11 to lead 62-34.
In the final period, Clinton County didn’t let up on the gas, scoring 21 fourth quarter points.
With 34 seconds on the clock in the fourth quarter, Chase Harmon hit one free throw to give the Dawgs a 35 point lead and to put the mercy rule in to place with a running clock for the remainder of the game.
The final score was reached with Harmon hitting another free throw for the 83-48 victory.

Clinton County was back in action on Tuesday night (too late for press deadline) against McCreary Central for senior night. The Dawgs will play as the number two seed in the district tournament, having lost a coin toss for the number one seed. The Dawgs will play against Cumberland County on Tuesday, February 27, at 8 p.m. at Russell County.
