Ruth Carlton Claywell, 83, of Albany, Kentucky, passed away on Monday, February 12, 2024, at the Medical Center at Albany.
She was the daughter of the late Welby Antle and Lela Stearns Antle. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, Russell Carlton.
She is survived by her husband, Donald Claywell of Albany, Kentucky; three daughters, Janice (Ruel) Parrigin and Martha (William) Bell, both of Albany, Kentucky, and Barbara (Rick) Guthrie of Somerset, Kentucky; two grandchildren, Derek Bell and Justin Bell; two great-grandchildren, Colin Bell and Luke Bell and a host of other relatives and friends.
The funeral was held Thursday, February 15, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. at Ballou & Stotts Funeral Home, Burkesville, Kentucky, with Bro. Bobby Grant and Bro. John Ford officiating. Burial followed in Lands Chapel Cemetery in Clinton County.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations to Highway Church of the Nazarene.
