Several officials who have been involved in the long process of getting a new Justice Center building in Albany were on hand this past Sunday afternoon at the site where the facility will be built, for a ceremonial start of the demolition process.
The demolition of the buildings two blocks north of the Clinton County Courthouse, where McWhorter Implement, Ferguson Brothers Hardware and McWhorter Variety Store were located on Cross and Washington Street, is expected to take several months.
Local residents are reminded to use caution when driving near the area where the demolition is underway.
