The parking lot adjacent to the Lindle Castle Gymasium was filled with ambulances and other emergency vehicles from across the state Saturday, in honor of Chastian McWhorter, who was killed last week when the ambulance he was driving was involved in a traffic accident in Garrard County.  McWhorter’s funeral was held in the gymnasium.  A patient in the ambulance, Robert Caudill, 75, of Nancy, was also killed in the accident.
Below, traffic was stopped Wednesday afternoon at the intersection of U.S. 127 and Ky. 90, as a procession of emergency vehicles traveled toward Albany with McWhorter’s body, en route to Cambpell-New Funeral Home.
