James R. “Ralph” Cooksey, 80, Amarillo, Texas and a Clinton County native, passed away Sunday, January 22, 2012. He was the son of the late Marvin Albert and Millie Helen Holsapple Cooksey and a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He is survived by two step-sons, Ricky (Cindy) Gresham, Quanah, TX; Jack Rascoe, Amarillo, TX; a step-daughter, Betty J. Rascoe, French Camp, CA; two brothers, Eugene Cooksey, Summer Shade, KY; Kendrick Cooksey, Glasgow, KY; a sister, Mary Ruth (David) Spears, Glasgow, KY; also five step-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Saturday, January 28, 2012 at Memorial Park Funeral Home in Texas.
