Clinton Grand Jury indict six during January session

The Clinton County Grand Jury held its first session of 2025 on January 9 and handed down indictments in open circuit court, charging six individuals with alleged crimes. Most of the true bills returned involved multiple charges.
The following indictments were returned last month:
* Mitchell Finley, 58, the alleged offenses of strangulation 2nd degree (Class D felony); menacing (Class B misdemeanor); unlawful imprisonment 2nd degree-two counts (Class A misdemeanors). The alleged offenses occurred on or about August 31, 2024.
* Virginia Conner, 41, the alleged offenses of theft by unlawful taking or disposition, more than $10,000 (Class C felony); and, burglary 2nd degree (Class C felony). The alleged offenses occurred on or about August 17 through August 31, 2024.
* Christopher Conner, 42, the alleged offenses of receiving stolen property (Class C felony); disorderly conduct 1st degree (Class A misdemeanor); and, resisting arrest (Class A misdemeanor). The alleged offenses occurred on or about August 17 through August 31, 2024.
* Nathaniel Johnson, 43, the alleged offenses of burglary 2nd degree (Class C felony); theft by unlawful taking or disposition less than $500 (Class B misdemeanor); and persistent felony offender 2nd degree. The alleged offenses occurred on or about December 4, 2024.
* Emily Savage, 18, the alleged offenses of terroristic threatening 3rd degree (Class A misdemeanor); and, criminal mischief 1st degree (Class D felony). The alleged offenses having occurred on or about November 18, 2024.
* William Peter Bermel, Jr., 59, the alleged offense of failure to comply with sex offender registry (Class D felony). The alleged offense occurred from November 7, 2023 and subsequent to that as a continuing offense.
