This past Fourth of July holiday saw some heavy boating traffic on  both Lake Cumberland and Dale Hollow Lake.  From personal watercraft to luxury houseboats and seemingly everything related to watercraft inbetween, boats were both on the move and anchored in groups on both lakes.  The scenes shown here were on Dale Hollow Lake, both near the Kentucky – Tennessee border during the weekend holiday. Bottom photo, Thunder Over Cartwright was held Friday night, sponsored by Albany Plumbing and Electric family and staff. The event came to a close after nearly 23 minutes of lighting the sky, with thousands of people on hand to view the lights and sounds of fireworks celebrating America’s Independence. Tim Albertson, co-owner Albany Plumbing and Electric, said from his house he could see traffic lined up all the way up the road past Country Mart, as well as looking west on Hwy. 90 towards Burkesville, Kentucky. Albertson said the event has grown over the years and they have been putting on the show for nearly 30 years.
