Law enforcement officers from the area continue to battle the local war on drugs, and criminal activity in general, which resulted in the following recent arrests:
(*Correction) Jeremy Braswell, 44, of Albany, was arrested and charged with assault in the fourth degree (minor injury), and strangulation in the first degree (non-domestic violence).
William Purdue, 54, of Albany, was arrested and charged with inadequate silencer (muffler), operating a vehicle with expired operators license, failure to notify address change to the Transportation Cabinet, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of a substance in the first degree, possession of a controlled substance in the first degree, first offense (meth), and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Dennis Kempton, 50, of Albany, was arrested and charged with intimidating a participant in the legal process.
