Charles Wayne York, 81, Rock Hill, South Carolina, and a native of Albany, passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2012. He was the son of the late L.S. and Cordie Adams York and a member of Friendship United Methodist Church and a U.S. Navy veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict. He was also preceded in death by a son, Stephen; a daughter, Betsy; a sister, Ruby Nell Pierce and two brothers, James and Roy York.

He is survived by his wife, Dolly M. Senn York; a son, Patrick York, both of Rock Hill, South Carolina.

A memorial service was held Saturday, January 28, 2012 at Friendship United Methodist Church with final resting place in Neely’s Creek ARP Church Cemetery in South Carolina.
