James R. Bickel, 75, Wolf River Dock Road, Albany, passed away Tuesday, February 8 at Baptist Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee. He was a native of New Castle, Indiana, a member of Lee’s Chapel United Methodist Church and was preceded in death by a son, James Bradley Bickel.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret I. (Harlan) Bickel; a daughter and son-in-law, Teresa J. and Gary Guffey, all of Albany; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Beverly and David White, IN; Linda and David Imel, FL; two grandchildren, Stephanie (Steven) Perkins, Lebanon, TN; Tyler (Casie) Parkhurst, Albany; three great-grandchildren, Logan and Emily Perkins and Makayla Parkhurst; sister-in-law, Josephine (James Martin) Lowhorn, Albany; also several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Friday, February 10, 2012 at 1 p.m. at Talbott Funeral Home with Bro. Bobby Sexton officiating. Final resting place in Peolia Cemetery. Arrangements made through Talbott Funeral Home of Albany.
