Clinton Grand Jury indicts three individuals on multiple counts

The Clinton County Grand Jury convened a week ago Monday, February 20 in regular session and charged three individuals, all on multi-count indictments. Those true bills were handed down in open Circuit Court.

The following indictments were returned on February 20:

* The alleged offenses of criminal mischief-first degree, and leaving the scene of an accident/fail to render or aid assistance, against Buddy Longwell, when on or about January 15, the defendant intentionally or wantonly defaced, destroyed or damaged the property of Gay Garner, causing pecuniary loss of more than $1,000 and left the scene.

* The alleged offenses of manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance (meth)-first degree, possession of a meth precursor, possession of drug paraphernalia, and giving a police officer a false name or address, against Toni F. Jones, when on or about January 7, the defendant possessed two or more chemicals or two or more items of equipment used for the manufacture of meth; possessed a controlled substance classified as Schedules I or II narcotic drug-first offense; possessed a drug product or products used as precursor to meth; possessed drug paraphernalia and gave a false name to a police officer in an attempt to mislead the officer as to his identity.

* The alleged offenses of manufacturing methamphetamine; possession of a controlled substance (meth)-first degree; possession of a meth precursor; and possession of drug paraphernalia, against Stevie Lee Reynolds, when on or about January 7, the defendant possessed two or more chemicals or two or more items of equipment for the manufacture of meth; possessed a controlled substance classified as Schedules I or II narcotic drug-first offense; possessed a product or products used as a precursor to manufacture meth and possessed drug paraphernalia.
