Donald Y. Grider, 73, Grider Rd., Albany, passed away Saturday, March 3, 2012 at his residence. He was a retired postal service mail carrier and a veteran of the U.S. Navy and U.S. Army and son of the late John Paul and Nellie Grider.

He is survived by a special nephew, Joe (Lisa) Bryant; special cousin, Roger Grider, Albany; four sisters, June Sublett, Chicago, IL; Dean Dowell, Albany; Roxie Martin, Jeffersonville, IN; Joyce Stafford, Ft. Wayne, IN; two brothers, Sam and Jess Grider, both of Albany; also several other nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 6, 2012 at 1 p.m. at Talbott Funeral Home with Bro. Larry Martin and Bro. Carl Cross officiating. Final resting place in Memorial Hill Cemetery. Arrangements made through Talbott Funeral Home of Albany.
