Rising Son Ministries, a Christian music group based in Albany, is releasing its latest album this week.

The album, entitled “The Other Side,” is a collection of ten songs written by the group.

This is RSM’s third album project since the group formed in 2005. To celebrate the release of the new album, Rising Son Ministries will perform a free concert this Saturday night, March 10, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at Alive In The Spirit North Church, located on U.S. 127 South at Static, TN.

RSM lead vocalist, Chuck Gibson, said the group is very excited about the new album release. “This is by far our biggest project since we formed the group. All of the guys worked effortlessly to create these songs and accompanying videos. Our hope and prayer is that people will move closer to God through these songs and through this ministry.”

The new album includes praise songs like “WOW!” and “Brother I’m Blessed”, and worship songs like “Majesty” and “In This Place.”

The album also includes Turn Around, a call to repentance song. Other songs are Show Me The Way, The Potter, You, Glory Glory Glory and the album’s title track, The Other Side, which is taken from the scripture found in John 21:6, where Jesus tells the Disciples to cast their net on the other side of the ship and there they found a multitude of fish. RSM guitarist, Nat England, says “The idea behind the song is that sometimes God calls us to do things that we are not accustomed to doing, and this is where faith comes in. Sometimes, we have to cast our net on the other side to be where God wants us to be.”

Two videos, for the songs WOW!” and “Majesty”, have already been released on YouTube and have been well received, and more videos will be released soon.

The latest video for WOW!” was produced by Jay Tee Hardin. The new album is available at most music outlets on the web, such as iTunes, Amazon.com, CD Baby, Rhapsody and others. You can also see the groups’ members in person, or on Facebook. The group has an official website, which is www.rising-son-music.com.

Besides Gibson and England, other members of Rising Son Ministries include Mark Neal on bass guitar, Brad Bell on drums and Randy Speck on keyboards. Another person who helps behind the scenes is Jerry Perdue. Neal did the art work for the new CD and the album was recorded by local Christian artist, Bryson Cross.

Neal said, “We want to thank everyone who has supported us in the past, but most of all we want to thank the King of Kings, our Lord Jesus Christ. We anxiously await what God has in store for our future. We pray that, through this ministry, His kingdom will increase. We also ask that everyone please pray for us.”

Don’t forget, RSM will debut its new album in a free concert scheduled for Saturday night, March 10, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at Alive In The Spirit North Church, located on U.S. 127 South at Static, TN.
