Why recycle?
* Recycling a stack of newspaper just three feet high can save one tree.
* Recycling one ton of aluminum cans saves 37 barrels of oil.
* Enough energy is saved by recycling one aluminum can to run a TV set for three hours or to light one 100 watt bulb for 20 hours.
* Every year we make enough plastic film to shrink-wrap Texas.
* Americans go through 25 billion plastic bottles every year.
* Every day Americans use enough steel and tin cans to make a steel pipe running from Los Angeles to New York and back.
* Making cans from recycled aluminum saves 95 percent of the energy required to produce cans from virgin material.
* The amount of wood and paper we throw away each year is enough to heat 50,000,000 homes for 20 years.
* Free service.
