Metcalfe County Fiscal Court approved on second reading of Ordinance 12-0228 banning the sale and possession of synthetic marijuana, commonly referred to as Spice.

Judge Wilson said the next step is to arrange a meeting with city, county and state law enforcement, and school officials, to ensure that everyone is aware of the ordinance and that they are knowledgeable on what to look for. Wilson said he had just heard from a constable that someone in the county had overdosed on Spice.
