Albany, KY –Clinton County ATC held its annual Career Day on February 29, 2012 and welcomed many local business and industry individuals to share various Career Pathways with students. It was a day of discovery as students were able to familiarize themselves with various jobs within their chosen pathway.

Clinton County ATC strives to see that each student chooses a specific Career Pathway early in their high school career so that students will graduate prepared for employment or postsecondary education. The Career Pathways offered at CCATC include rigorous academic and career courses beginning in high school and each pathway leads to an associate’s degree and/or industry-recognized certificate or licensure, and/or a baccalaureate degree and beyond. Each Career Pathway offered at the Area Technology Center offers students the opportunity to receive dual-credit/articulation opportunities with various colleges, O*Net Certificates, and Industry Certifications.

The staff and students at Clinton County ATC would like to extend their appreciation to all local community members who presented at this year’s Career Day. Experiences such as this gives students an important industry perspective and students gain an understanding of the skills needed to transition successfully.
