ECC riders raise $3,924 for St. Jude Children’s Hospital
More than 30 students at the Early Childhood Center were on hand Thursday at Mountain View Park to participate in the Trike-A-Thon.
Students have spent the previous months raising money for St. Judes Children’s Hospital and this year ECC students raised $3,924 for children in need.
According to ECC teacher Jamie Cooksey, students of Clinton County have been participating in raising money for St. Jude since 2001 and have netted a total of $43,000 during the past 11 years.
Students were awarded participation awards, medallions and this year’s student who raised the most money for St. Jude Children’s Hospital was Mackenzee Parrigin raising more than $500.
More than 1,000 children from Kentucky have benefited from St. Jude Childrens Hospital. The hospital treats children at no cost to the family.
