The Clinton County Chess team (the Dogs of War) travelled to WKU in Bowling Green just before spring break and participated in the Kentucky High School Individual chess championships. Junior Zack Pharis (son of Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Pharis of Albany) finished with the fifth place trophy (on right) and sophomore Jacob Williams (son of Mr. and Mrs. Mike Williams of Albany) on left.

The high school chess team is proud to be sponsoring its own chess invitational on Saturday, April 28, at the Dale Hollow Lake resort. It will be a four round USCF rated event for both scholastic and adult players, and the community is invited. For more information contact Mike Anders adn 606-688-5552.
