Two more residents have recently been arrested for meth by the Pickett County Sheriff’s Department.

After a drug investigation conducted by Sgt. Jeff Flowers, Deputy Malcolm Johnson and Deputy Mike Worley, deputies went to the residence of Bobby (Rooster) Crabtree, 49, of Circle View Apartments.

After entering the residence, a bag of methamphetamine, two firearms, burnt aluminum foil and a smoke pipe were found. Crabtree is charged with Unlawful Possession or Carrying of a Weapon, Possession of Methamphetamine, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.

Chief Deputy Steve Wilber, along with Sgt. Flowers and Certified Meth Clan Officer Elbert Conner were conducting a drug investigation which led them to 1025 Red Bud Road. Max Smith, 57, was arrested and charged with Promotion of Methamphetamine, Possession of Methamphetamine, and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
