Wreck in Adair County involves two Albany men

On Friday, May 4, 2012, at 2:20 p.m., an accident occurred at the Hwy. 61 and Bypass intersection in Columbia, KY.

The accident involved two men from Albany.

Phillip Eller, 25, of Albany, was traveling south on the bypass and failed to stop for a red light according to police reports.

A passenger of Eller’s vehicle, Joshua Mynear, 25, of Albany, was ejected from the vehicle. Mynear was transported to Westlake Regional Hospial in Columbia and then airlifted to the University of Louisville.

Eller’s white 1996 Ford pickup struck a 2006 Dodge van driven by Linda Hourigan, 70, of Springfield.

Mariah Hourigan, 18, also of Springfield, was a passenger in the Dodge van. She was airlifted to the University of Kentucky Medical Center.

The accident was investigated by Columbia Police Department.

In the top photo, police officers and first responders were on the scene Friday as Linda Hourigan’s Dodge van was struck by Phillip Eller at the intersection of Hwy. 61 and the Bypass in Columbia, KY.

The photo above shows the damage of Eller’s vehicle. Both Eller and his passenger, Joshua Mynear, are from Albany.
